Tour description

We begin in Kuala Lumpur by visiting Petronas twin towers, holy caves and the largest free-flight bird park in the world. Then we move to historic Malacca - to roam in cozy quarters and remains of the Portuguese-Dutch fort. On world-famous Penang island we explore Malaysia's colonial architecture and Chinese old town, visit national park and the largest Buddhist monastery in Southeast Asia. Then we take off to Indonesia - to celebrate New Year on heavenly island with unique underwater world.

Is this trip for you?

This trip is of easy physical grade. It includes walks in cities and towns and easy walks in the national park. We will take several domestic flights. We will also take shorter rides in buses and speed boats. Accommodation in tourist class hotels. Accommodation on Togean islands can be chosen in additional options.

Price of the trip includes:

All domestic flights:
Accommodation during the entire trip;
All transportation including buses, boats, ferries, hired and public transport;
All meals during five days on Togean islands+some breakfasts during the rest of the trip;
Professional guiding services.

To be paid separately:

Flight to Kuala Lumpur and back home;
Insurance (mandatory);
Entrance fees to temples, parks and other attractions (up to $100-200) and additional excursions on the islands ($40-100);
Diving (from $33 per dive or PADI Open Water diving course including 5 dives, test and certification – $390);
Snorkeling ($7-10 per day for snorkeling gear rent);
Food ($8-15 per person per day).

Day 1-2

Arrival in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, checking into a hotel.

Day 3-4

Музей истории и этнографии Малайзии, Прогулка по реке, Руины португальской крепости, Пляжи и джунгли парка Телук Баханг

We visit holy Hindu Batu caves, then head to the world’s largest free flight bird park and explore Petronas twin towers with a lush park. For dinner we head to the famous Alor Street known for Chinese seafood and other mouthwatering Asian dishes.

Day 5-7

Bus to Malacca (3 hours on the way), the oldest town in Malaysia. We visit the History and Ethnography Museum, ride a boat down the Malacca river, explore the old town and remains of the fort. After lunch we go back to Kuala Lumpur by bus (2 hours) and fly to Penang island (1 hour) where we check into a hotel in the historic center.
